252 projects across the city and county — Central West End brick, South City brick, and the Ladue–Des Peres corridor. $1.5 million of work since 2022. Three very different kinds of house, and we quote all three differently.
“St. Louis” is three jobs, not one
Most painting companies write one St. Louis page. The problem is that a brick two-family in Shaw, a Central West End rowhouse and a house off Litzsinger Road have almost nothing in common except a phone number. We have done 252 projects here and the work splits three ways.
Central West End and the historic corridor — 63108, 63110
Old brick, tall windows, real plaster, and trim profiles that do not exist anymore. We have painted four different houses on McPherson Avenue alone, plus Lindell Boulevard and West Pine. These jobs are about matching what is already there — crown, chair rail, stair risers, door frames — not covering it.
South City — 63116, 63104, 63109, 63129
Brick, basements and character. Where we do our most masonry-adjacent work.
The Ladue–Des Peres corridor — 63131, 63122, 63146
Bigger square footage, bigger scopes, and the highest-value projects we run anywhere. Litzsinger Road at $31,471. North Ballas Road at $26,341. Ballas Trails Drive at $25,351.
Flora Place, Shaw — $33,521
Flora Place is one of the more particular streets in the city and this was a particular job.
The basement alone was $18,500. The walls had loose, deteriorating grout that had to be scrubbed out before anything could be primed — you cannot paint over failing mortar and expect it to hold. Every wall got scrubbed, cleaned, primed and repainted, and the ceiling got sprayed.
Upstairs was closer to conventional historic work: ceilings in Sherwin-Williams CHB, walls in Duration flat, and every piece of trim — crown molding, door frames, chair rail, baseboard and stair risers — in Emerald Urethane satin. We have now been back to that address three times.
Central West End: McPherson Avenue
Four separate houses on one street, first in 2024, most recently in August 2026. On a street like that the work is visible from the sidewalk, so the next job comes from a neighbor who watched the last one.

St. Louis painting questions
Do you work in the city or just the county?
Both. Our eight busiest St. Louis zips are 63129, 63146, 63122, 63108, 63110, 63116, 63131 and 63104 — South City, the Central West End and West County all together.
Do you paint historic homes?
Yes. Central West End and Shaw are two of our steadiest neighborhoods. Historic work means matching existing trim profiles, dealing with plaster and old brick, and knowing when a surface needs repair before it needs paint.
Can you paint a brick basement?
Yes, but it has to be prepped honestly. On Flora Place the walls had deteriorating grout that we scrubbed out and primed before repainting — painting over failing mortar just traps the problem.
What does painting cost in St. Louis?
Median project is about $4,532. Small jobs start around $300. Our largest was $49,639. Every quote is written and itemized.
What paint will you use on my exterior?
Your choice of three tiers — Benjamin Moore top tier, PPG/Pittsburgh mid tier, Sherwin-Williams standard. Two full coats either way, over a full power wash, scrape, sand, caulk and spot prime.
